Here are a few tips that can dramatically help to improve your business.
Get all your clients listed on a computer. Mail twice a year, asking directly for referrals - explaining that referrals are the most effective means by which you can maintain growth in your practice.
Also, mail to inactive clients, asking what you can do to help them.
Send Christmas cards, birthday cards, handwritten notes after visits, etc. Make them feel they're special and that you appreciate them as people, not just for their money or the business they bring you.
Mail to all current clients, extolling some great item you have just come across (a great novel, for example) which you are giving to them as a free gift.
As an aside, of course, ask them to keep in touch as their needs change, and to refer their friends to you.
Many insurance companies have magazines they send out to your clients, but nothing will serve your direct interest better than personal communication with your own clients! They didn't buy their insurance from the insurance company, they bought it from you.....and they WANT to hear from you!
